Academic Course Options for Years 9-13
Sports available at Wakatipu High School and in the Queenstown region
Music, Arts, and Culture available at Wakatipu High School
EOY Program (End of Year program): WHS runs an end-of-year (EOY) activity program specifically for senior international students (Years 11-13) who aren't sitting NCEA exams. This program takes place in Term 4, after regular classes wrap up in late October or early November, once domestic senior students begin their study leave. Tentative 2026 dates: 09-19 November.

Expectations around academic assessments and exams: All international student at Wakatipu High School are expected to fully participate in all chosen subjects. This includes completing all assignments and sitting any tests or exams that are part of the regular curriculum, regardless of the length of their study period. This ensures that students and teachers are fully involved in making the experience studying abroad as successful as possible.
