What are Blues Awards? The Blues Awards are an important event in our annual calendar to celebrate excellence, achievement, service and leadership across all areas of the Arts and Sports at Wakatipu High School. Receiving an award at our Blues ceremonies is the highest honour we can present students who have excelled in these areas.
Awards Students can receive Annual Blues awards for leadership and achievements, Service Blues for participation and effort and Achievement Blues for success at regional and national level. There are also Junior Achievement Blues recognising success for students in the junior school. The most prestigious category, the 'Outstanding Blue', is reserved for those who attain extraordinary success.
Bruce Grant Memorial Scholarships The Bruce Grant Trust donates funds to the youth of the Wakatipu to assist them in their sporting, cultural and artistic endeavours and has supported WHS for over 20 years. This award was created to recognise students who have overcome adversity, persevered and demonstrated the Wakatipu High School value of resilience in the journey towards pursuing their sporting and artistic dreams and potential.
