Current Year Fees and Payments When determining our fees, we take account of the Ministry of Education's guidelines around the items and activities for which state schools are permitted to charge.
We ask that families pay for items such as school trips & activities, workbooks & programmes, take-home items, events and publications, co-curricular hireages & costs. Payment of Fees and Donations Wherever known, fees and donations are added at the start of each year although student subject changes and other circumstances may result in fees and donations being added later in the year.
Fees and donations can be paid by direct payment to our bank account, over the counter in cash or EFTPOS/credit card at the School Office, by regular automatic payment or through the School Portal. We are happy to accept payment plans and have school accounts paid off over the course of the year. Many families find that setting up an AP for a small weekly/fortnightly amount, helps ease the financial burden, rather than making lump sum payments.
Our bank details can be found on each invoice that we send to you.
School Donations Due to the schools’ Equity Index (formally known as ‘Decile Band’), the amount of money provided to WHS by the Government is much less than many other schools receive. Whilst we are fortunate to have the Branches Trust and WHS Foundation as other sources of financial support, we also rely heavily on school donations to supplement these central funds, to maintain and develop Aotearoa New Zealand’s best all-round education
School donations are voluntary and can be made in any amount. We would be grateful if parents will consider supporting the school in this way.
Payments are tax-deductible for donors. Please contact our finance team at [email protected] if you would like to obtain a receipt for your donation for tax purposes.
